“Travel Retail is the main channel to express the comprehensiveness of our brands to the world” says Moroccanoil’s Sebastian Levi, Vice President Global Travel Retail.
“Despite the events there has been a strong commitment to us from the channel and, indeed, very recent developments at important airports spanning the world” with Levi citing the most recent new presence with Dufry in Milano, 3Sixty Duty Free in Orlando and Fort Lauderdale, and with Shilla Duty Free at Macau Airport.
Speaking for product development, Yeolan Delapenha, Senior Director of Marketing, Retail and Travel Retail, remarks that the stand out-launch in 2021 (in July) had been for Brumes du Maroc fragrance mist for hair and body. Now the most-requested product in Moroccanoil’s iconic signature scent, Brumes du Maroc features a lightweight, non-aerosol mist that does not disrupt your hairstyle and is infused with argan oil and Vitamin E to hydrate and nourish. It can be used on hair and body throughout the day as often as needed.
In 2022 Moroccanoil’s range of hair and body products (including body packaging products featuring Hand Washes, Hand Creams, Sanitisers, Shower Gels, and Body Lotions/Creams/Scrubs) will be available in the original fragrance and no less than five other Moroccan or Mediterranean-inspired fragrances:
- Fragrance originale
- Bergamote fraîche
- Ambre noir
- Oud minéral
- Spa du maroc
- Ambiance de plage
Delapenha – who has a story for each fragrance, describing Ambiance de plage as “a vacation in a bottle” – is keen to point at that all the new product developments come with a strong emphasis on packaging sustainability and all are recyclable, or contain post-consumer recycled (PCR) content.
