Tito’s Handmade Vodka has launched a bottle of vodka wearing a knitted winter jumper to boost sales during the festive season in global travel retail.

The new cosy covered bottle, which is a travel retail exclusive, is being shown to buyers in Cannes in the brand’s first year of taking a stand at TFWA World Exhibition & Conference.

Tito’s Handmade Vodka Managing Director International John McDonnell said: “The focus is to get everybody onboard with the ugly sweater programme for the holidays.”

“Then, we need to sell the smaller formats of our bottles to airports,” said McDonnell, hinting that the company is looking for boosted presence both in the air and on the global stage.

“We want more and more airlines. We really need to get the UK going for domestic sales as we changed distributors in the middle of COVID and now the on-trade has just re-opened and we want to get our distributors focused – and that includes Ireland, Scotland of course too,” added McDonnell, revealing that he would like to see the vodka brand “in key places like Istanbul”.
