“In one just week we achieved the sales of one month” – Patrick De Cauwer, Sales Director, Starbrook Airlines, was commenting to the Dailies on the simple but delightful strategy it had to install this stylised model of a one of its 1950s DC-6s at Luxembourg Airport over the summer. De Cauwer hopes that his partners will find space to host more of the units in “airports served by Starbrook Airlines”.
The brand is based on an imaginary airline created by an artist and local resident of Brussels Zaventem Airport, but De Cauwer says there is no fantasy when it comes to opportunity – “some doors were closed to us during the Pandemic as we were smaller than the other brands, but we are also nimble, we can adapt, and we are opportunistic.”
In this respect De Cauwer also thinks that the Starbrook Airlines brand of Belgian Chocolate has the best price point – “our Hero packs (pictured) start at just €10 – excellent value for money.”
