Duty Free Global together with Silent Pool Distillers will be giving visitors an exclusive sneak peak of the new iconic branded Pan Am spirits at TFWA World Exhibition & Conference.
“We’re incredibly excited to show Pan Am in the travel retail channel exclusively in Cannes this autumn and expect a great response,” says Adam Dobson, Global Sales Director, Silent Pool Distillers.
The partnership between Pan Am and Silent Pool Distillers was arranged by Pink Key Licensing. The new deal will see Pan Am branded gin, vodka and pre-mixed cocktails distributed in Europe, US and Japan.
Pan Am and its branding captures an age when flying was still thought to be a glamourous experience. Identified by its famous blue globe logo, first class service, jet-set style, and of course their white-capped pilots and unforgettable blue uniformed stewardesses, the airline is one of the most recognisable cultural icons of the 20th century.
Ian McCulloch, MD and Founder of Silent Pool Distillers, says: “We are very excited to be able to bring this brand to market in a whole new way. With travel starting to resume and consumers forming much more romantic and nostalgic connections with their favourite destinations, there’s no better time to connect them to a bygone era in a contemporary way. We believe that the Spirit of Pan Am will garner particular attention in key US airports, as well as important European and Asia hubs.”
Richard Pink, MD at Pink Key Licensing, says: “We are so pleased to have secured this partnership, we’ve long thought that the Pan Am brand and its association with the glamour of a by-gone age deserves to have product that reflects this. It’s got that ‘Mad Men’ feel of
‘cocktails on a plane’ about it, and in Silent Pool Distillers we’ve found a partner who really understand what we are trying to achieve. We are very excited and can’t wait to do the sampling!”
