“21 in 21”: Qatar Duty Free elevating retail experience at Hamad International Airport
Qatar Duty Free is marking its 21st anniversary by unveiling a significant investment and an enhanced retail portfolio of 21 new shopping and dining outlets. With a focus on embracing a range of tastes and budgets, the “21 in 21” project will elevate the existing duty free experience at Hamad International Airport.
This includes the recently-launched QDF Apple Shop, located at the heart of the airport terminal, offering the full Apple product range, including iPhones, iPads, Apple Watch, Mac, and Apple TV, plus a selection of Apple accessories. The Apple Shop Programme occupies a prime space at the airport behind the iconic Lamp Bear in the South node Retail Plaza, covering an area of 86sqm.
“The opening of the Apple Shop at the ‘World’s Best Airport’, marks another key highlight of QDF’s major investments in enhancing the retail experience at Hamad International Airport,” says Musleh. “We are delighted to unveil the new Apple Shop in Qatar and excited to add Apple products into our extensive retail portfolio.”

In August Qatar Duty Free introduced a new luxury travel retail experience with Viale del Lusso – a new shopping avenue at Hamad International Airport. As well as the first airport boutique in the Middle East for the fashion designer Valentino and the first Emporio Armani Ristorante and Emporio Armani Caffe in an airport, Viale del Lusso features an impressive selection of luxury global brands, such as Dolce & Gabbanna, Fendi, Jimmy Choo, Pucci, and Starbucks Reserved.
