TFWA i.lab Asia: innovation in action I nside (Level 1 – i.lab 10) is a cloud-based, AI-powered human resource management system (HRMS) that automates shift scheduling, attendance, leave and casual worker management for hotels, food & beverage and travel retail outlets – cutting administrative overhead by up to 90% and optimising labour costs, while providing flexibility and real-time insights to accommodate the dynamic nature of shift work. “Inside’s travel retail strategy is to partner directly with airport retailers, duty free operators and F&B concessions to embed at the point of service by integrating with POS and property management systems, ensuring staffing matches passenger flows,” explains Nicholas Lim, Co-Founder & CEO, Inside Technologies. “Also, to pilot in high traffic hubs – such as Changi Airport – to demonstrate rapid ROI via reduced overtime and understaffing. And to leverage the TFWA network to secure relationships with travel retail groups and showcase our Smart Schedule and Casual Workforce Module – a unique end to end agency staffing workflow that no competitor currently offers.” Inside is mainly working in the hospitality industry now, partnering with SEA Aquarium (part of Resorts World Sentosa), Conrad Marina Bay Singapore, Conrad Orchard Singapore and Pan Pacific Hotel Group. “Through the Singapore Tourism Accelerator (Cohort 7), we also completed a three month deployment at Conrad Marina Bay Singapore, achieving 90% reduction in scheduling time, attendance tracking and timesheet consolidation each week,” says Lim.
