A rterra Wines Canada is eyeing rising demand for its products, despite challenges. Describing the business, Arterra Wines Canada Strategic Account Manager, Asia Pacific Mandy So explained: “We focus on Canadian ice wine and we are the number one selling ice wine in the world – that’s our core focus because they are popular in Asia Pacific. I would say that Inniskillin is doing very well.” So highlighted how “our products work as gifts as well, especially during the festive season” and admitted: “That is where our sales peak”. According to So, Arterra’s “products are mainly doing well around China, because sweet wines are popular with the Chinese” and yet did also reiterate that “ice wine is not cheap” musing how “most would probably retail at “about US$100-$250”. So explained that, the plan for the future is to expand a little further across more Asia Pacific regions and added: “We are looking to grow in the Southeast Asia market, namely Vietnam, Thailand and perhaps Singapore as well. The domestic market is strong, but our duty free presence is still somewhere we can go further.” Basement 2 / 2-L11 Hitting the sweet spot Impossible to pair your very own IFE wireless headset? Not any longer! A s we all know the quality of airline IFE headsets belongs somewhere around 1987. Most attempts by makers of quality headphones to provide consumers with wireless solutions they can bring onboard themselves struggle with frustrating pairing problems, or just resort to cables. The Tour series of headphones from JBL overcomes these barriers with a dongle solution using AURACAST technology. Brought to TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference by Travel Retail Innovations this development is available as the TOUR PRO 3 – for two ear phones – or the TOUR ONE M3 for headphones. “We just need to make retailers more aware about this because we absolutely know that this is a sure must-have for the discerning consumer who is more than happy to pay for a qualitative experience,” says Travel Retail Innovations’ Sales Manager, Mike van der Matten. Another ‘innovation’ from Travel Retail Innovations with a much lower price-point is the “Heat It” insect bite healer. About 2.5cm long, or the size of a small memory stick, you plug it into the power point of an iPhone or Android and place it on an irritating insect bite – in either adult or child mode – and it heats to 51C to provide medically-approved, chemical-free, instant and effective relief. Get it for your family – and get it for your TR store. Basement 2 / 2-D9 Wednesday 14 May 2025 20 T F W A D A I L Y
