T he blind football & wheelchair rugby tournament, co-organised by TFWA, Stade Toulousain Handisport and m1ndset, demonstrated how working together to aide communication can result in success. Teamwork along with a keen sense of physical awareness played a role in the morning too. Each of the wheelchair rugby teams took it in turns to show their upper body strength to create a conversion while seated. Meanwhile, for the blind football, participants discovered the challenges of being visually impaired and needing to take guidance from the tapping sounds of their teammates. “We are raising awareness of disability organisations and trying to help them raise more money, to have more support and to give people more chances of having better therapy, interaction and access while travelling,” explained Peter Mohn, CEO, m1ndset. “Yes We Cannes!” Yesterday morning, TFWA, Stade Toulousain Handisport and m1ndset co-organised a blind football & wheelchair rugby tournament, highlighting resilience, team spirit, inclusion and equality. On Saturday, participants arrived in Cannes after completing the “Yes We Cannes!” Para-Bikathon – a 500km para-cycle ride from Toulouse to Cannes. Monday 29 September 2025 6 T F W A D A I L Y
