N euhaus CEO, Isabel Baert and TR Development Director, Alexandra Bevernage, showcase the boldly “NEW” Les Savoureux gianduja in the exhibition yesterday. “New” is always a big claimwhen made by Neuhaus, inventor of the Belgian praline, but Les Savoureux truly is an innovation in which Neuhaus has transformed its famously luxurious and refined gianduja with recipes developed in collaboration with renowned Belgian chef, Tim Boury. The resulting Les Savoureux selection (223g/24 pieces and 111g/12 pieces) has a whole spectrum of flavour combinations ranging from: “caramelised almond and a sharp twist if yuzu”…“roasted buckwheat, feuilletine and hint of honey”…“pecan and a subtle touch of cardamon and apple” …“velvety walnut amplified by a delicate touch of vanilla and muscovado sugar”… and…”pistachio, while chocolate, uplifted by puffed rice, a hint of sea salt from Guérande and a subtle cherry twist.” “There’s so many different layers, a perfect combination of taste and texture – we call it the 3D-effect of flavour” says Baert. “It’s innovative, it’s inventive, it’s Les Savoureux, but it’s still an original Neuhaus praline.” The GTR première of Les Savoureux is taking place with Lagardère at Brussels Airport. To be launched in 2026, the tequila is the brainchild of 220 years of family history, created by Juan Domingo Beckman, the third generation of the Beckman family. Taking inspiration from his father and grandfather, who pioneered aging tequila for years instead of months in casks, the innovative new release made with 100% blue Agave has been aged through three casks, Californian Cabernet Sauvignon, French Oak and American Oak, all of which were available to see and smell. The 1 litre 40% abv bottle will be released globally exclusively through travel retailers early next year.
