Ingredients like oud, musk, and amber – once sold in regional souks – are now centre stage in international fragrance houses. Yet, despite this global recognition, Rahman insists the soul of Arabian perfumery lies in its storytelling and deep-rooted tradition. “Al Haramain has proudly played a role in bridging tradition with modern perfumery,” he adds. When asked about his personal fragrance choices, Rahman is unwavering: “My preference remains oud. It is at the heart of Al Haramain and a note that reflects strength.” Whether at home, with family, or in a boardroom, oud remains his signature scent – an emblem of the brand’s identity. Looking ahead, Rahman’s vision is clear. “We want Al Haramain to stand as a true ambassador of Arabian perfumery. Over the next decade, we aim to expand further, embrace sustainability, and deepen our digital presence.” The goal, he says, is to connect with both the younger generation and those who have been part of the Al Haramain journey for decades.
