E velyne Ly-Wainer, Managing Director, Global Travel Retail, L’Occitane, with the travel retail limited-edition, bestselling, classic shea butter hand cream, with Adriana Nicolae, General Manager, APAC Travel Retail, at the TFWA Asia-Pacific Exhibition & Conference yesterday. Hard to believe but it’s already 50 years since a 23-year-old Olivier Baussan distilled rosemary and sold essential oils in the markets of Haute-Provence – an enterprise which would move on from these simple, humble origins to become the globally recognised beauty Maison, L’Occitane en Provence, now celebrating its golden jubilee. While events are planned throughout this year, beyond these celebrations, the effects of the all-products redesign begun in 2025, and extending through 2027, will be a much longer lasting legacy. Meanwhile, L’Occitane en Provence marks another milestone this year – its third as a Certified B Corp, meaning 2026 is also the year of recertification. Raphaelle Archambeaud, Group Chief Sustainability Officer, reassuringly explains what this means for the next half-century: “As we From Provence to the wor l d : Beauty Ma i son L’Occ i tane tota l l y ce l ebrates 50 approach recertification, we are building on solid foundations, strengthening governance, reinforcing climate reporting, and advancing fair work and circularity across the Group.” Now that’s something to really celebrate; always.
