I n case you missed it, the TFWA Daily has been supporting #KickCancerThon, the initiative which raises money for the Royal Marsden cancer hospital in memory of the late-great Sinead Moodie, COO of the Moodie Davitt Report and daughter of Martin, who we lost in February. As of early May, #KickCancerThon has raised over US$300,000, with the total continuing to rocket skywards. For our part, the TFWA Daily Publisher Paul Hogan, who lost his own 12-year-old daughter, Brontë, to leukaemia in 2011, recently ran a 52km ultra-marathon distance from central London to his family home in Kent, backed by an exclusive, whacking $3,000 sponsorship from those lovely people at TFWA Member, Link Snacks, Inc. Perfect for airports and on-the-go travel, Jack Link’s x MrBeast beef stick multipacks are the ultimate grab-and-go fuel. With enough in every pack to power your entire journey – or for that matter 52km ultra-marathon – each stick delivers at least 5g of high-quality protein from 100% real beef, keeping you fuelled throughout your adventures with convenient, mess-free snacking. Jack Link’s has partnered globally with MrBeast – the world’s #1 creator – bringing together two powerhouses to launch a co-branded line of protein-packed meat snacks designed for a new generation of consumers. The show is Prime Video’s #1 unscripted series, reaching 50m+ viewers in 25 days across 80+ countries, with strong global appeal. Thank you Jack Link’s for supporting #KickCancerThon! A rtScience Museum, MBS, yesterday, very early: Avolta and World Future Enterprises invited TFWA delegates for a 5km Run/Walk in support of #KickCancerThon, the travel retail campaign to raise funds and visibility for cancer research which is the brainchild of the late Sinead Moodie, CCO of The Moodie Davitt Report. (Regrettably, Martin Moodie was unable to be with us in Singapore this year due to his own health challenges.) In line with the campaign’s ‘global + local’ philosophy, all funds raised are being donated to Children’s Cancer Foundation Singapore raising an outstanding S$16,120 (US$12,700) – a tribute to the passion of co-organisers Avolta Asia Pacific President & CEO Freda Cheung and World Future Enterprises Founder Tonya Tan. After the event Tonya paid tribute to participants and families of the sufferers: “In memory of Sinead Moodie, and in support of the Children’s Cancer Foundation Singapore, I am deeply grateful to everyone who came together with so much heart. Today’s walk may have only been 5km, but for many children and families their journey is far longer and far harder.” Donations are requested for S$50 per person (US$39) with generous dollar-for- dollar matching to a S$5,000/US$3,900 ceiling: https://www.giving.sg/donate/ campaign/5-km-run--walk-for-children Co-organisers Avolta Asia Pacific President & CEO Freda Cheung (right) and World Future Enterprises Founder Tonya Tan (left) present a giant-sized (in every sense) cheque to Children’s Cancer Foundation Singapore CEO Koh Shukai.
