Old Pulteney already has a strong footprint in APAC, in key markets such as China, India, Thailand, Malaysia and Korea, plus we have exciting plans to increase presence in other Asian markets.” While Ng agrees consumer spending remains under pressure, she says there is still plenty of opportunities “particularly in regional airports in China, South East Asia, and India – whisky is the biggest category in spirits for this region, and our premium single malts are where we see the biggest demand.” Ng agrees that the event “is a great opportunity for us to bring our brands to life for stakeholders in this crucial market – we were at the show last year with Old Pulteney and Phraya, our extraordinary rum from Thailand, and the success of that activity has led us to take a bigger stand this year.” B2 / 2-U5 F rench luxury confectionery brand Fauchon is making a major return to the Asia Pacific travel retail market, unveiling an ambitious new expansion strategy and a striking collection of retail concepts. Designed for the travel retail market, the range includes colourful confectionery, biscuit assortments and portable gifting formats aimed at younger consumers and on-the-go travellers. Sandrine Girault, Global Chief Business Development Officer, hinted the collection may be expanded further following its launch. These include compact kiosks, standalone boutiques, hybrid retail-and-dining spaces, restaurant concepts and a new coffee shop format. The experiential concepts are designed to blend gourmet retail with immersive French hospitality. Eric Carlier, Travel Retail Consultant & Advisor, also highlighted Fauchon’s strong presence in Japan and confirmed ambitious expansion plans across South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China and the wider Asia Pacific region, alongside continued development in luxury hospitality and the US market.
