In partnership with: TFWA Start Up Day The TFWA Start Up Day is a key part of the agenda on Thursday 1 October, taking place from 09:00 to 11:30 in the Press Centre in the Palais des Festivals. TFWA Start Up Day participants Altavia Travel Retail Blynk CXG DHOW – NEW DWS Engraving Illuminete x Trinax – NEW IWD – NEW Levita Magic – NEW ORA – NEW Voiceback Analytics O ra designs and manufactures retail environments for luxury and beauty brands and for retailers in 36 countries: shop-in-shops and permanent fixtures, podiums, pop-ups and brand activations, bespoke furniture and large-format printing. “Travel retail is a significant part of our business, alongside selective retail and department stores,” says Anne-Charlotte Bellanger, Deputy CEO, Ora. “We combine our own workshops in France and Europe with a network of local partners worldwide. Alongside this, we develop digital tools for our clients. Gémèse is one of them: a platform that lets brands and retailers explore a space and make their decisions long before anything is built.” Ora’s goal as a participant in the TFWA Start Up Day is to introduce Gémèse to the people who shape travel retail spaces: brands, duty free operators and airport authorities. “Cannes brings them together like no other moment in the year, and the TFWA Start Up Day gives us the stage to show what Gémèse changes in a project: how a space gets decided, and howmuch faster,” Bellanger explains. “We aim to leave with our first pilot projects and a clear understanding of what the market expects from this kind of tool. Gémèse has been built with our clients, and Ora: Seeing the future of retail space before it’s built the conversations we have in Cannes will shape what we develop next.” Gémèse lets brands and retailers validate their spaces before they are built. A counter, a podium or an entire store is recreated to scale as a digital twin you can walk through on screen, with real materials, real lighting and the existing store scanned around it, so the concept is judged in its actual setting. “Decisions are made upstream and shared by everyone involved, three times faster than with conventional 3D,” Bellanger adds. Anne-Charlotte Bellanger, Deputy CEO, Ora: “Ora covers the entire journey of a retail space: design, manufacturing and installation, delivered in 36 countries.” Tuesday 29 September 2026 30 T F W A D A I L Y
