R eaffirming the strategic role of GTR in the Italian leather goods brand’s international growth, Coccinelle arrives in Cannes following a dynamic year of international expansion of its global retail network. Most recently Coccinelle opened a new point of sale at La Maison du Luxe in the non-Schengen area of Warsaw Airport, and also has a new opening at Maldives Airport planned by the end of 2026. “A series of strategic new openings at other major airport hubs will further strengthen our global presence, bringing Coccinelle’s distinctive expression of Italian elegance and craftsmanship ever closer to travellers around the world,” Giada Cappelletti, Coccinelle’s Head of International Markets & Global Travel Retail (pictured) told the TFWA Daily in the exhibition yesterday. Alongside these new openings, Coccinelle continues to strengthen its presence in established GTR markets through expansions and renovations, progressively introducing its new “Organic Pink” store concept. Designed to create a more immersive and distinctive brand experience, the concept offers a contemporary expression of Coccinelle’s identity and Italian heritage. Here in Cannes Coccinelle has unveiled its “Le Funduq” S/S 2027 collection. Le Funduq is presented as inspired by “a journey along desert routes, and by the evocative world of the ‘caravanserai’ – the historic roadside inns and places of traveller encounter, rest and discovery.” The inspiration unfolds through an exploration of materials, textures and craftsmanship with the generous use of natural materials including canvas, raffia and straw bringing a tactile, summery dimension to the collection. Meanwhile, as a staple of the S/S 2027 season, Coccinelle Lidia is “reinterpreted in new variations that enhance its feminine and Coccinelle unveils “Le Funduq” S/S 2027 collection; airport opening at Warsaw, Maldives + more! contemporary character.” In addition, Coccinelle Choukara, inspired by the travel bags of nomadic peoples, embodies the collection’s spirit of journey and discovery, while Coccinelle C-ME Lock and Coccinelle C-Easy “embrace the summer mood through refined crochet workmanship.” The result is a collection in which travel, craftsmanship and discovery converge, “revealing beauty through materials, techniques and unexpected details.” RivieraVillageRJ16 A nother newcomer to the show, iTotal is an Italian creative brand with a strong identity and three product universes: stationery, kawai (cute) objects and giftables.
