C artwright & Butler used its TFWA World Exhibition & Conference press event to unveil a refreshed brand identity, an expanding product portfolio and ambitious plans for further growth in global travel retail. Newly appointed Head of GTR and Business Development Manager Julie Feryn highlighted the rapid development of the business, with GTR sales finishing 2025 up 30% and first-half 2026 performance tracking around 15% ahead. The company aims to double its overall business within four years, with travel retail expected to play a significant role. Feryn also pointed to growing partnerships with retailers including Avolta, Lagardère Travel Retail and WHSmith, alongside opportunities in Asia, the Middle East, cruise and food & beverage. Product development is another major focus. Fifth-generation family member Cooper Arnett, who has moved from GTR Account Manager to Head of NPD, showcased additions including chocolate and hazelnut biscuits, a Happy Birthday tin containing new chocolate brownie biscuits and a revamped shortbread collection spanning pistachio, lemon, chocolate orange and a savoury variety. Cartwright & Butler is also expanding into onboard and snacking formats, with single-serve biscuits launching with British Airways and twin packs entering WHSmith meal deals. Looking ahead to 2027, the brand revealed plans for a GTR-exclusive chocolate brownie and salted caramel biscuit tin, complete with a personalised gift tag. The presentation also debuted Cartwright & Butler’s refreshed visual identity, retaining its signature pastel palette, archways and gold detailing while creating what the company described as a more contemporary, consistent presence across travel retail. The evolution reflects the fifth-generation family-owned brand’s ambition to remain unmistakably British while reaching a broader international audience. MediterraneanVillage P14 From tea time to take-off V ictoria’s Secret is building momentum in travel retail with an expanded beauty offer, new bra solutions and ambitions to strengthen its presence across major international airports. Speaking at TFWA World Exhibition & Conference, Rebecca Sinkey, Director of Merchandising & Store Operations Travel Retail, described a strong sense of energy around the brand and its future growth. A key focus is Bombshell Shine, a new collection extending the brand’s signature Bombshell fragrance into a broader beauty lifestyle. The range includes body glazes, shimmer mist and Diva Dust – a brush-on highlighting and bronzing powder available in different shades. “We’re continuing to build our beauty business, but still focusing on what our customer loves, which is Bombshell,” Sinkey explained. Victoria’s Secret is also strengthening bras, one of its core categories in travel retail. New alpha-sized bralettes have been introduced to provide travellers with a simpler, quicker shopping experience without compromising on support, coverage or fashion. These developments coincide with growing excitement for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which heads to Los Angeles in October featuring a blockbuster musical line-up. This year, the brand is further engaging consumers through its search for a new Angel, with the process documented in a YouTube series. Victoria’s Secret? Well, it’s a bombshell... Looking ahead, Victoria’s Secret is continuing discussions with airport operators and partners as it targets further expansion, with particular focus on the world’s top 100 airports. For Sinkey, the ambition is clear: to ensure travellers around the world can experience Victoria’s Secret wherever their journey takes them.
