“ Come on HARIBO!” was the encouraging cry we heard many times around London’s iconic landmarks as we joined 60,000 others to compete in the London Marathon, emblazoned with the leading gummies branding across our running shirts. HARIBO stepped up to sponsor this year’s TFWA Dailies marathon teamwhich comprised the Dailies publisher, Paul Hogan, and his son Dr Max Hogan (for many years Max was a Dailies photographer). The fundraising this year was for Children With Cancer – a charity we have supported many times – we like to run for cancer, although we have also run for other deserving causes including disabled children and Ukraine. As many GTR people know, Max and his brother Louis also run as ‘TeamBron’ in memory of our daughter and sister, Brontë ‘Bron’ Hogan (12) who passed away after a five-year struggle with leukaemia in 2011. Finisher’sMedal: DrMax on theMall. Finishes packet: Hogan has the last of his Tangfastics at Cutty Sark.
