“The important new trends we are exhibiting and testing in Cannes includes our ‘Pause’ range of products,” says William Legallais, Global Retail Sales Manager, Leonidas.
Belgian chocolates are rightly perceived as a luxury, premium, Rolls-Royce item, but Legallais explains how the range of items Leonidas has trialled under the Pause cluster of products – “are about eating chocolate in a different environment, and often for a different purpose – like having a treat when you are having a cup of coffee.”
Legallais asserts that the move does not change closely-held Leonidas principles. “We offer the best chocolate at the best price, no palm oil and, since October 1, all of our chocolate is now 100% certified with the Rainforest Alliance – in all it is estimated that we are helping about 2,000 families make a better living.”
